We have an active parents association in the form of Friends of Bretton School, more commonly known as FoBS.
FoBS works in strong partnership with the school and organises social events for parents and children with the aim of organising social and educational events, as well as supporting the school through raising money.
Yearly events include Christmas fairs, discos at the Village Institute, hamper raffles, family fun nights, as well as assisting in obtaining grants for different projects and organising uniform sales.
Monies raised by FoBS are spent directly on benefiting the children. FoBS also assisted school in gaining a £10,000 Lottery grant for upgrading the community play equipment. They have paid for new reading books and a new handwriting scheme. In previous years, they have furnished our new library, bought an overhead projector for the hall, given a budget to each class to choose indoor playtime games, subsidised trips, purchased a new reading scheme and contributed towards the Trim Trail.
